• Niner’s fans see RED and Like it that way. Great to see the old jerseys at Candlestick this weekend. I say we go really retro and bring back Eddie!
• Soporiffic! Huge Kudos to Hawaiian nose-guard Isaac Sopoaga. I know Adams got a sack, but Sopo seemed to be stuffing everything. The 3-4 needs a dominant nose-guard. Way-to-go, brah!
• Nedney’s Control Key! The best Niner player to come out of San Jose State since Jeff Garcia.
• I guess it takes a cowboy to be calm in a stampede. Cody’s dream comes true and I couldn’t be happier.
• 50 yards passing; 158 yards rushing; no touchdowns; point at the score board. I don’t think it’s a formula for success, but I’ll take it.
• The Niners are a competitive team when they are matched against a comparable quarterback.
• Odd fantasy score for Pickett; one tackle – one point; one completion – one point; one win at a time – priceless.
• Nolan gets paternal with the brotherhood of O-Linemen in pregame speech. Feelin’ the love?
• How bad is Smith’s knee? He is still in the full leg brace and I don’t think we’re getting the full story. While a winning record may be a stretch this season, getting A. Smith some playing time is the most important objective for his development and possibly the long-term success of the team. Every snap he misses delays the second coming. Did he get rushed in before his time?
• QBIG (That’s the QuarterBacks Injured per Game) index since Rattay trade: 1.0.
• I know one W isn’t a streak, but it feels like a streak in Niner land.
• Corrections: Can’t point fingers on this one, I screwed up on the Steve Young Hall of Fame celebration, Nov. 20th. Wasn't the first, won't be the last - screw up that is, Niner QB's in the hall of fame? Wasn't the first, could be the last in my life time. Thanks for the fun Steve, love ya on TV.
