Silence
of the Masses
Not to flog the
dead carcass
of the woeful 2005 season even further, but Sunday's game in Chicago was another "new" low for our beloved
Forty Niners under the York administration.
How many ways can we find to lose? In
the immortal words of Coach Pearlman, “Jeez, peas, even Mother Nature
is against
us.”
So if Mother Nature
is against
us, how do we fix that? Do we throw a
party? Do we plant some trees? Do we sacrifice virgins? How
about we set the whole place on fire and
start all over again?
Sunday was awful. Not just awful, real awful.
Oh hell, it was completely awful.
Let me list just some of the low lights: the longest Touchdown in NFL history, twelve
mean in a huddle at a crucial point of the game, endless runs up the
middle stuffed
and a 1-13 performance quarterback for 28 yards – the worst performance
in
Forty Niners history. And to top it all
off, Tony Parish has a season ending injury.
All in all, a very long awful day.
So where
is the outrage? Have we all given up? Does anyone care?
I wonder how Dr.
John feels?
Does he care?
