49ers are Aware
In the San Jose
Mercury News
article, “Revolting against the rich
and porous”,
DumpYork.com has
learned
that the 49ers are aware of the site. GOOD!
So
know that we know that
some one is paying attention, the question to them is WHAT ARE YOU
DOING TO OUR
TEAM?
We read that the
49ers are
aware of our frustration; “to me it’s fan frustration, and they have
every
right to be frustrated,” a team spokesman, Kirk Reynolds, said. “We're
all
frustrated, too. It's a personal attack, it's unfortunate, but it kind
of comes
with the territory.”
I will tell you
what is really
unfortunate.
What is unfortunate
is that
we have an owner who thinks it is O.K. to state that we will not have a
good
team until 2006. What is unfortunate is
that the good Doctor has decided it better to be profitable than a
winner. It unfortunate to have a 10% hike
in prices
while fielding a team that is missing parts.
And what is really unfortunate is that we see
no moves to change the
path of the organization.
Hell yes it is a
personal
attack against Dr. John York. He owns the team. He sets the direction
of the organization. He is the one in
charge. He is number one. The Main Man. The Big Cheese.
That is why the
fans – the people
who give you money - are going after the Dr. York, the one person who
can change
the direction of the organization.
So what do we
suggest to Dr.
John York?
Since selling the
team has
been ruled out – which I beg of you to do - please, please, please.
How about Dr. York does the following:
- If it
really is going to take until 2006 to field a good team, how about
reducing ticket prices in 2005. If the team is going to be like
this years team, a 25% reduction would be appropriate.
- How about fixing the parking lot?
- How about stepping forward and admitting
that under your leadership, the Forty-Niners have a losing record and
you've done many dumb things. (That would
also require you to update your bio on the 49ers web site.)
- How about taking some responsibility? Shite, just stand up and state, “We screwed
up.”
Hell,
if you did that, most of the faithful would give you another year.
